Liverpool chase Yankuba Minteh as Brighton reject £60m bid

Liverpool are stepping up their pursuit of Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh, though a deal remains some way off after the Seagulls rejected a second bid of £60 million for the 22-year-old Gambian.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool "have reached a broad verbal agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh over contract terms." Brighton, however, are holding firm on their valuation and have already turned down the £60m offer.

The Times reports that if Liverpool's move for Minteh fails, they "could instead turn their attention towards Real Madrid youngster Endrick," with Arne Slot's side having "enquired about the Brazil international's availability this summer" following his loan spell at Lyon.
